Code of Conduct

Overview

This code of conduct outlines the expectations of behaviour for all employees and contractors of the Growth Collective.

Mission and vision

The Growth Collective offers practical and interactive training programs to develop individual and organisational skills.

The Growth Collective believes that capability is one of the keys that unlocks respectful relationships, diversity and inclusion in workplaces.

To deliver on this mission, Growth Collective is committed to creating a positive and productive environment for its employees, contractors, clients and program participants where everyone feels respected and valued.

Expected behaviours

All employees and contractors are expected to:

  • Be professional and courteous.

  • Treat all colleagues with respect, regardless of their position, age, gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation.

  • Be honest and trustworthy in their dealings with colleagues, clients, suppliers and vendors.

  • Keep confidential information confidential.

  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Take responsibility for their own actions and the actions of their team members.

  • Be proactive in identifying and resolving problems.

  • Be willing to learn and grow.

  • Program facilitators are expected to mange learning environments to support psychological safety and wellbeing while also encouraging learning and growth. 

Program participants are expected to:

  • Keep information discussed in the program confidential, and

  • Treat other participants with respect.

Unacceptable behaviours

The following behaviours are unacceptable from employees, contractors, clients and program participants and will not be tolerated:

  • Bullying, harassment or discrimination.

  • Theft or destruction of property.

  • Dishonest behaviour.

  • Abusive or threatening behaviour.

Reporting Unacceptable Behaviour

If you witness or experience any unacceptable behaviour, you are encouraged to report it to one of the Growth Collective’s Directors. You can find contact information here.  

Consequence Management

Breaches of this code of conduct may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or termination of a contract for services.

The Growth Collective may also determine that program participants may be asked to leave a program if their behaviour is in breach of this Code of Conduct.

The Growth Collective also reserves the right to end, change or put specific conditions on contractual engagements with clients if a member of a client’s organisation acts in a way that is contrary to the Growth Collective’s Code of Conduct.

Corporate Social Responsibility Statement

At the Growth Collective, we believe that businesses have a responsibility to give back to the communities they serve. We are committed to operating our business in a socially responsible and ethical manner, and to making a positive impact on the world around us.

We focus our corporate social responsibility efforts on the following areas:

  • Environmental sustainability: We are committed to reducing our environmental impact and minimising our contribution to climate change. We do this by using energy and resources efficiently, reducing our waste production, and recycling whenever possible.

  • Social responsibility: We are committed to creating a positive social impact through our training programs and business practices. We offer training programs that help people develop new skills and knowledge as we believe this is the key to unlocking workplaces that foster health and wellbeing and that are truly inclusive.

  • Philanthropy: We support a variety of not for profit organisations that are working to make the world a better place. We donate a portion of our profits to these organisations, and regularly provide scholarship or discounted places to not for profit organisations.
